Many die, others injured as church building collapses in Uyo


Akwa Ibom State is currently in a state of mourning as a church building located in Uyo, the state capital, reportedly collapsed leaving many worshippers dead and others injured.

The building of the church identified as Reigners Bible Church along Uyo village road collapsed as the Bishopric Consecration of the founder, Apostle Akan Weeks was to be conducted.

Five more patients undergoing treatment at isolation centres in Lagos State have been discharged. The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, made this known in a tweet on Friday. He said that the five newly-discharged patients bring the total number of patients that have recovered in the state to 90. Imo Records First Confirmed case of Corona Virus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control  (NCDC) has confirmed the first case of COVID_19 in Imo State. The Centre , in its last report which was made public on Saturday, April 25, 2020 listed the states with new confirmed cases and topping the list was Lagos State with 33 new cases, followed by Borno State with 18 cases, and Osun  State with 12 cases. Imo State which was among the 12 states in the country with no confirmed cases of Corona Virus is the least on the list with 1 new cases.

'Yahoo Yahoo' boys apprehended with female body parts

A group of "yahoo yahoo" guys popularly known as "Ghana burgers",  were said to have been recently apprehended by Police operatives attached to the Koko Division in Warri, Delta State. The internet fraudsters, were allegedly en-route the state from Oyo State on a ritual mission but ran out of luck at Koko Junction where they were caught at about 6:30pm.    These photos of the guys and the items they were caught with were sent to a reliable source by his police friend from Asaba.
