BRT bus catches fire on Third Mainland Bridge

A BRT bus caught fire and got burnt at Gbagada axis on the Thrd mainland bridge this morning. 

 Thankfully no one was injured and no life lost. See photos below

Five more patients undergoing treatment at isolation centres in Lagos State have been discharged. The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, made this known in a tweet on Friday. He said that the five newly-discharged patients bring the total number of patients that have recovered in the state to 90. He also confirmed the 19 new confirmed cases recorded in the state on Thursday. Imo Records First Confirmed case of Corona Virus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control  (NCDC) has confirmed the first case of COVID_19 in Imo State. The Centre , in its last report which was made public on Saturday, April 25, 2020 listed the states with new confirmed cases and topping the list was Lagos State with 33 new cases, followed by Borno State with 18 cases, and Osun  State with 12 cases. Imo State which was among the 12 states in the country with no confirmed cases of Corona Virus is the least on the list with 1 new cases.

Professor Umar Danbata, Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), has stated that inadequate collaboration among key players and stakeholders in the mobile money ecosystem has undermined the growth of mobile money in Nigeria. Professor Umar Danbatta (NCC EVC) Danbata dropped this hint at the 4th annual Brands and Marketing Conference, 2016, organized by Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN), recently held in Lagos. In his keynote address, Danbata, who was represented by Henry Ojiokpota, Principal Manager, Policy Competition and Economic Analyses at NCC,underscored the need for stakeholders to collaborate in order to drive the growth of mobile money system in Nigeria.
