Imo Records First Confirmed case of Corona Virus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control  (NCDC) has confirmed the first case of COVID_19 in Imo State. The Centre , in its last report which was made public on Saturday, April 25, 2020 listed the states with new confirmed cases and topping the list was Lagos State with 33 new cases, followed by Borno State with 18 cases, and Osun  State with 12 cases. Imo State which was among the 12 states in the country with no confirmed cases of Corona Virus is the least on the list with 1 new cases.

Comedian Igodye Donates his New Royal Seal Mansion, to be used as an Isolation Centre

Ace Comedian, I Go Dye has just donated his newly acquired FAPOH Royal Seal Mansion project site to the Federal Government of Nigeria, to be used as an isolation Centre. The Comedian who expresses worry over the increasing number of Corona Virus cases in Nigeria with the few number of isolation centers available for now, noted that he is only contributing his own selfless deed to control the escalating records of the Corona Virus cases as predicted by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Kaduna State Governor, Confirmed Corona Virus Free

The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has been confirmed Corona Virus Free after testing negative of the virus twice.  The Governor who was notified to have tested positive of the virus on March 28, 2020, revealed this in a statement on Twitter

Five more patients undergoing treatment at isolation centres in Lagos State have been discharged. The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, made this known in a tweet on Friday. He said that the five newly-discharged patients bring the total number of patients that have recovered in the state to 90. He also confirmed the 19 new confirmed cases recorded in the state on Thursday. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control had announced that 19 of the 35 new COVID-19 cases recorded on Thursday were in Lagos. Abayomi tweeted, “19 new confirmed cases of #COVID-19 Infection recorded in Lagos on the 16th of April. This brings the total number of confirmed Lagos #COVID-19 cases to 254.y “Five fully recovered #COVID-19 patients were discharged. Total discharged #COVID-19 patients are now 90.” Source: punchng
