Imo Records First Confirmed case of Corona Virus



The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control  (NCDC) has confirmed the first case of COVID_19 in Imo State.

The Centre , in its last report which was made public on Saturday, April 25, 2020 listed the states with new confirmed cases and topping the list was Lagos State with 33 new cases, followed by Borno State with 18 cases, and Osun  State with 12 cases.

Imo State which was among the 12 states in the country with no confirmed cases of Corona Virus is the least on the list with 1 new cases.

Five more patients undergoing treatment at isolation centres in Lagos State have been discharged. The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, made this known in a tweet on Friday. He said that the five newly-discharged patients bring the total number of patients that have recovered in the state to 90.
